Do dogs prefer soft or hard beds?
Whether a dog prefers a hard or soft bed depends on the dog - some prefer firm support whilst others like warmth and softness.
Keep a careful eye on your pooch to see whether they sleep on the floor or on the sofa. This might help you determine their preference.
Why does my dog not like their dog bed?
The bed doesn't match his preferred sleeping style. Dogs that like to sleep stretched out generally prefer floor pillows while dogs that curl up to sleep usually like bolsters or donut-shaped beds. if his bed is too small, lumpy, or dirty and he feels claustrophobic or uncomfortable in it.
Whilst these mats are robust, no material is indestructible, especially from sharp teeth.
Fortunately, there are several ways to stop your dog from destroying their bed and redirect their chewing behavior to more appropriate items.
- Provide Appropriate Chew Toys.
- Increase Exercise and Playtime.
- Use pet relaxing diffusers.
- Create a Comfortable Sleeping Environment.
It is always advisable to keep a close eye on your pet when you have introduced a new bed to ensure they do not feel inclined to chew it.
